Rose Gold Obsession

I've come to realize that I have a slight obsession with rose gold.
It all started when I purchased the David Smallcombe Rose Gold small cuff. I always imagined RG to be more pink but on my skin tone it appears copperish. I'm currently loving this Michael Kors Rose Gold watch I received for Christmas. I was so torn between the RG & YG but I ultimately chose this one & I'm very happy with it.
The RG packaging on YSL's Metallic Colorama Palette was too pretty to pass up. As far as nails go, Orly's Rage has been my favorite polish these past few months.
The highlighter appears more champagne than rose on the skin but nevertheless gorgeous.

What do you think of Rose Gold?
Do you have any RG makeup recommendations?

Revlon Gray Suede

Gray Suede
With Flash
I've been obsessed with this shade for the past month.  Revlon's Gray Suede is a gorgeous taupe/gray/brown polish with a very subtle shimmer.  The shimmer is really only obvious under light.  It is definitely not a pure gray and that's what I think makes it more interesting.
Without Flash
This is my first Revlon nail polish but it won't be my last! The quality of this polish is amazing.  It lasts for over a week on me with no chips, every time.  Gray Suede works well with those who have pale or tanned skin.  Check it out if you can!

Jade Is The New Black

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
photo taken with flash so it appears lighter
I'm not Irish at all but I thought I'd celebrate with some fun nail polish.
OPI Jade Is The New Black
I love this color, however application was a little on the thick side for me.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Essie Van d'Go Art of Spring Collection

Okay, I've been a little obsessed with pastel nails lately.
So much so that I've been buying dupes without even realizing.
Clockwise
OPI Mod About You
China Glaze Something Sweet
Essie Pop Art Pink
Essie Minimalistic
MAC Light Affair
Essie Van d' go
Essie Neo Whimisical
*It is brighter in real life, this was taken on my blackberry*
I know I said I would be featuring Essie's Pop Art Pink next but honestly Van d'Go is so much more of a standout color.  It is super peach & pastel but bright at the same time. It goes on pretty opaque after one coat as well. If you are going to buy one polish from the Art of Spring collection, I would say go for this one!

Essie Neo Whimsical- Art of Spring Collection

Essie's Neo Whimsical

please excuse my horrible cuticles!
This shade is a perfect mix of lavender & baby pink.
This look was achieved with three coats as the polish is pretty sheer.

I bought two Essie nail polishes from Ulta & received "Matte About You" topcoat for free.
Here is it applied over Neo Whimsical.  I love the look of matte nails but this topcoat chipped and dented the polish like crazy =( Pop Art Pink from this collection will be my next nail post.

Light Affair NOTD

Light Affair from MAC's Love Lace Collection
MAC describes Light Affair as a "creamy pale grey taupe" and that is definitely an accurate description. I had heard some people say that there is a hint of lavender to this polish but when applied I didn't see it. So I added 1 coat of Essie's Minimalistic (a sheer but buildable pastel lilac) to the 2 coats of Light Affair.
I'm really loving the combination of these colors.
Do you guys ever combine nail polishes? If so, what's a good one?!

Festive Holiday Nails

Here are two nail polishes from the new holiday collections.

On the left we have OPI Merry Midnight
& On the right Essie Mint Candy Apple

Merry Midnight is a truly unique color.
It is a purple tone with blue shimmer & orangey red flakes.
I believe this is the first OPI polish with flakes & I love it!

Mint Candy Apple is a very pretty pastel blue/green.
However it is not as light as it appears in this photo.
Pretty similar to MAC's Peppermint Patti.

What holiday nail colors are you planning on getting?

Cool Reserve + Sephora F&F Haul

I know I'm really late on this one but I finally painted my nails with MAC's Cool Reserve and I have to say I really like it.  In some light it looks grey, in others it appears purple.  I'm not usually a fan of MAC's polishes but this one is pretty nice!

& here is a sneak peek of what I bought from Sephora using the Friends & Family discount FF2009 (ends Nov.2nd).
 Reviews & swatches coming soon!
What did you haul from F&F sale?

This post is my entry for the contest going on @ The Nail Buff.  The contest is to pick your top 3 polishes and I had a little bit of a hard time.  I tried to pick polishes from different brands but in the end I just love Chanel polishes the most.  I enjoy collecting & wearing them :)

Rodeo Drive- Robertson Boulevard Collection
A lilacy purple with a silver sheen
Feu de Russie- Moscow Collection
A deep burgundy black with red micro-glitter
Flamingo- Summer 2008 Collection
A baby pink with silver shimmer

Does anyone else collect nail polishes from a particular brand?? Thanks for reading! xox
